today went steph's hse to bake in e afternoon. ha ha so fun. real fun man! anyways first we went to get e ingredients at giant. we try to go budget. indeed we saved alot. well it was ard 2.15pm when steph decided to start e baking. so we sift the flour mixed e butter, eggs, salt, sugar, blah blah blah n then dump it in to bake. well everything went on quite well untill when steph wanted to turn e baking tin so as to ensure all e tarts are well baked, her glove CAUGHT FIRE! she mus hav touched e heating element. luckly her maid come to the rescue. saving her n e glove n the hse. luckly the strawberry tarts turned out beautifully n deliciously made. phew! ~.~

i've work 2 days in Oriental le...and guess wat! SO TIRING!
1st day>>we reach oriental early so as to get used to e environment, but in e end it's still a rush. steph n ster came along to help us wif e make up n hairdo. they did a not bad job indeed. me n iris than headed to e Banquet office to report for work. overall e first day of work still ok cos lucky me i jus stay inside e kitchen cleaning plates. lol. while e others(includin iris) had to rush to n fro serving n clearing e dirty plates. well my life was still relax on mon.i only hav to serve tea when e chinese wedding dinner is ending. lucky me. cos tat night is chinese wedding which e waitress had to serve n portion e food. heard fr iris it's quite tough. hahah...
2nd day>>well, my life on this day isnt tat good le. we're all separated into teams. each team is supposed to b incharged of 5 tables. i had to serve n is my v first time serving. tat night was a SIA christmas party n they're having a western dinner. though tis is easier than chinese dinner, we all still had to rush about. e dinner end at about 10.15pm. then we had to clean up n prepare e table cloth n chair cover for e next day. when all e guests left, all e girls took off their heels to relax their legs a bit. it's so tiring wearing heals rushing about. when i got home it was 1am plus le. my whole body muscles were arching everywhere. but i had to say it's a v fun day indeed. :))

muahahah...finally found a job. FINALLY a "stable" job. today me steph iris was like searchin for jobs in suntec n marina square. we first check out at e bookshop. steph was like "i wan to work here. there's so many books and plus we wont c broadricians in bookshops..."lol, tat's quite true.As for iris, she kept on thinkin about food.we check out a few more places such as cathay,golden village and finally The Oriental hotel(which is e place we'll goin to work). golden village job was quite attractive but too bad we still chose Oriental. It seemed tat God wish to hav a job there. :)
We entered e grand hall of Oriental aimlessly as we had no idea on where to go and check out for e job...till a man smartly dressed told us tat we're not suppose to enter by e main entrance if we'll lookin for job. we'll mayb our dressings is a bit casual i guess. we headed for e "back door" through e security check n finally entered. steph then called her church fren whom is workin at e restruant in e hotel. we were then brought to e boardroom where e interview was held. Guess wat, so many people. it's about 30++...wow.anyway they brief us about e standard we need to maintain in e hotel.
Grooming Standards:
LADies
eye shadow-blue or bonze
blushers
lipstick-red tone
nail polish-none(steph had to remove her's )
long hair MUST be bun neatly- use hair net n pins
short hair Must be neatly styled.
skin colour stockings
plain black skirt 1-2 inches above knee
black court shoes-plain
...
well which make me hav an excuse to go shoppin(jk)
anyway cant wait till i start workin. i guess it's goin to b fun workin in a 5 stars hotel.btw e pay is $5.50 per hour and if there's function, it may rise to $7++. next yr instead of $5.50, will increase to $6. cool.hope it's goin to b an enjoyable time workin there.
